We looked at 9 more houses this afternoon. Most of them were not very nice houses and I thought we would have to be nuts to pay what some of them were asking. We did find three that we like and out of the three two that we really liked.
One of the houses that we really liked was in Gotha between the West Oaks Mall and Old Winter Garden Rd. It was a nice two story house with 1,733 square feet. When you walked though the front door you were in a large room that was the living room, it also is used as the dining room. After this room there was a door on your left leading to the laundry room followed by the door to the garage. Next to the laundry room was a half bath and then the stairs leading to the bedrooms. Once you were past the stairs you had the kitchen, on your right, and the family room, on your left. The upstairs had the three bedrooms. The master bedroom was to your left and the other two bedrooms and the other full bathroom was to your right. It was a nice setup with the main living area downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs. There are still people living in the house so I was trying to visualize the rooms empty or with our things in them to get a better idea if I really liked this house or not. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 the best)I give it an 8. The only problem with this one is that it is a short sale.
The other house that we really liked was in Ocoee just north of Silver Star Rd. off of Clark Rd. This one was a little smaller with only 1,625 square feet. The house is vacant at the moment and was a little more open then the Gotha house. When you walked in you have the dining room to your right and the kitchen to you left. Past the dining room is the master bedroom. If you go further into the house from the front you will be in the living and family rooms. Past the living room and the kitchen is the two other bedrooms and the other full bathroom. In the back of this house is a nice patio and yard. The patio is fully inclosed and screened in. This house was more expensive than the Gotha house but it is not a short sale. I would also rate this house an 8.
The last house that we liked was in a subdivision just north of Old Winter Garden Rd. on Hiawassee Rd. This house was 1,650 square feet. The first thing that I have to mention about this house is that they left a lot of stuff in it. The house is vacant, but the seller is giving away a lot of other things with the house like an ar hockey table, a couch, a kitchen table and chairs, and a TV and entertainment center. It was a little funny reading the signs on the stuff saying "Air Hockey table comes with the house". Anyways onto the house. When you walked into this house you have the living room in front of you and what could be the dining room to your right. To the left of the living room was the the bedrooms and the bathroom. To the right of the living room was the kitchen. Past the kitchen, to the left, was the family room. To the left of the family room was the master bedroom.
As I am reading over this I think that I am going to confuse everyone with the discription. I will send you all links to view the houses if you want.
The asking prices for the houses are, The Gotha house is $129,900, the Ocoee house is $164,900, and the Air Hockey table house is $159,900. Only the Gotha house is asking within our price range, but since it is a short sale we might have some trouble with it.
We are going to see either the Gotha and Ocoee house again on Wednesday morning or all three of them.
Other than the house thing there is not a lot going on with us. We are just doing the same old routine of working and spending time watching Isabella grow. It is kind of scary to think that she is almost 2 years old.

I want links to the houses. You should just put them into the posts. :)
ReplyDeleteI'd go with the Gotha one. Short sales, although they can take longer to close, are typically awesome deals since you're basically telling the bank what you want to pay. Plus, 129,900 for 1700 square feet?! Wow! We're in 1300 square feet and are doing alright.
